Meet The Team
The Faces Behind Sarich Design & Build
The decision of which building company to trust with the construction of your dream home can be a huge and daunting task. At Sarich Design and Build we put an emphasis on employing and developing the best quality tradesmen in the market. We believe that a supportive culture and team environment is the foundation to a successful business.
Our teams are led by highly-skilled and experienced trade qualified and licensed builders (LBP). They help oversee the team and develop our apprentices, with the support of BCITO (The Building and Construction Training Organisation). We are dedicated to remaining abreast of industry changes and continually expanding our knowledge.
Our values mean we treat our team like a family, with an emphasis on support and a great culture. We believe valued staff are more productive and motivated, which translates to a happier worksite and a higher-quality product for our clients.
General Manager and Co-Founder
Bevan began his building apprenticeship in 1998, qualifying in 2001.
He believes he was fortunate that the first years of his building experience was with a high end building company. This set the foundations; high expectations and standards for workmanship throughout all his building career.
Bevan travelled and lived in London, gaining valuable experience learning what to do – and in some cases, what not to do! – to provide a final product that stands the test of time is something to be proud of.
He founded Sarich Design and Build Ltd in 2010 with his wife Kelly after returning home from the United Kingdom. He wanted to continue with the underlying philosophy to deliver high quality homes through high quality workmanship, experience, trusted communication, transparency, and reliability.
There is a sense of pride in being able to step back and say, “Hey, I built that” – to create something to perfection out of materials.
Office Manager and Co-Founder
Kelly’s background in Nursing has provided her with strong organisational skills and a passion for people which she applies to her role as Co-Founder and Office Manager. Her change in career to being part of a successful building company has involved considerable refocus and required development of new skills. Her previous experiences and strengths in the healthcare industry are applicable to her role as office manager in that she is detail-oriented, prioritises client needs, and supports other members of her team. Kelly is the driving force behind the administrative component of the business, and being part of the day to day running of the business has increased her understanding of the build process and helps assist projects to run smoothly.
Bruce studied at Manukau Institute of Technology, and became trade qualified in 1997. Bruce has experience with New Builds, alterations and renovations in both a commercial and residential capacity. He enjoys training and supporting the development of apprentices, passing on invaluable experience, knowledge and skills. Bruce is a family man with two sons and enjoys fishing, cars, and rugby. Some highlights for him in his building career include: building two homes on Waiheke Island, and constructing a large home on the Great Barrier Island. Bruce has wide reaching experience producing high quality homes and teaching the next generation of quality builders.
Vaughan started an apprenticeship in 1996 after leaving school; he qualified with a cabinet making trade certificate. He then decided he needed another challenge so started his building career in 2006 as an adult apprentice, qualifying in 2011. His building experience comes from residential building; both new builds and renovations.
Vaughan has been working for Sarich Design and Build Ltd since October 2015. For Vaughan, Building and cabinet making has the same thrill which is seeing the finished product and taking pride in what you have achieved and this shows in his workmanship and attention to detail.
Growing up on a farm Vaughan has a love for the outdoors and trys to get out for a deer stalk and a duck shoot (in season) whenever he can.
